2022 China International Digital Economy Expo Opened in Shijiazhuang

This morning, the 2022 China International Digital Economy Expo, sponsored by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission and the People's Government of Hebei Province, opened in Shijiazhuang. Ni Yuefeng, Secretary of the Hebei Provincial Party Committee, Wang Jiangping, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Pan Ki-moon, Chairman of the Boao Forum for Asia and former Secretary General of the United Nations, and other video speeches.

  Ni Yuefeng pointed out in his speech that the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core attached great importance to the development of the digital economy. The General Secretary Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory letter to the First China International Digital Economy Expo in October 2019, which provided us with scientific guidance and strong impetus to develop the digital economy. The report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China clearly stated that we should accelerate the construction of a network power and a digital China, make arrangements to promote the deep integration of the digital economy and the real economy, and create a digital industrial cluster with international competitiveness, which will bring new strategic opportunities and broad prospects for the development of the digital economy. As an important place in Beijing, Hebei has unique regional advantages, strong industrial foundation and abundant new energy to develop and expand the digital economy, and is embracing the arrival of the digital economy era. Hebei should thoroughly study and implement the important directive spirit of the General Secretary Xi Jinping, unswervingly carry out the deployment of the 20th CPC National Congress, fully and accurately execute the new development concept, actively serve and integrate into the new development pattern, and strive to make positive contributions to building a digital China. First, we should seize the major national strategic opportunities, plan and implement a number of major projects, build a digital economy development platform, promote the innovative development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Big Data Comprehensive Pilot Zone, accelerate the building of Xiong'an New District Digital Economy Innovative Development Pilot Zone, and focus on the construction of Zhengding Digital Economy Industrial Park, Huailai Big Data Industrial Base, Langfang Data Center, and Chengde Tourism Big Data Industrial Center. Second, we need to make the digital industry bigger, stronger and better, build a new generation of information infrastructure, expand 5G application scenarios, promote the deep integration of the Internet, big data and artificial intelligence with the industry, and accelerate the transformation of new and old drivers. Third, we shall give full play to the decisive role of the market in resource allocation, give better play to the role of the government, create a first-class market environment, government affairs environment, financial environment, and the rule of law environment, open arms to welcome central enterprises, private enterprises, and domestic and foreign strategic investors to invest and develop in Hebei, and work together to create a new situation for the development of the digital economy.

Wang Jiangping said in his speech that it is of great significance and far-reaching influence to promote the sustainable and healthy development of the digital economy. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will further study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, accelerate the development of the digital economy, promote the deep integration of the digital economy and the real economy, and build a digital industrial cluster with international competitiveness. We will work hard to tackle key problems in core technology and systematically improve the ability of independent innovation in information technology. We will strive to advance industrial integration and development, and further promote the digital transformation of manufacturing industry. Efforts should be made to improve the enterprise cultivation system and promote the financing and innovation of large, small and medium-sized enterprises in the field of digital economy. We will strive to create a good digital ecology and create a world-class digital industrial cluster. We will strengthen international exchanges and cooperation, and promote the building of a community of shared future in cyberspace. The digital economy industry in Hebei Province has a good foundation, strong momentum and huge potential. Ban Ki-moon said in his speech that the digital economy has become an important engine of economic recovery with its strong development, adaptability and innovation capabilities. In the past ten years, China has attached great importance to the development of the digital economy and made it to a national strategy. Hebei gives full play to its own advantages and strives to promote the development of the digital economy by holding the China International Digital Economy Expo. Under the theme of "integrating innovation and digital empowerment", the China International Digital Economy Expo will highlight the leading role of the international exhibition platform and gather global digital economic resources, which will further promote exchanges, cooperation and sharing, enable the transformation of traditional industries, spawn new industries, new formats and new models, provide support for the construction of digital China, and provide strong impetus for the development of the global digital economy.
